The 2024 Faldo Junior Tour has reached another exciting milestone, with Germany’s Bad Saarow Golf Club providing a stunning backdrop for its national event. Set against the picturesque landscape of the Brandenburg region, the Faldo Course Berlin presents a challenging layout that tests the precision and skill of young golfers. Measuring 6,866 yards from the back tees, this course is renowned for its strategic design, demanding accuracy and tactical play, making it a true test for all competitors.
Tom Steinert clinched the overall and U21’s victory at the event. The talented golfer from DD Ullersdorf finished with an impressive total score of -7 (209), marking him as the standout performer of the event. Steinert’s journey to the title was marked by consistent play throughout the three rounds, carding scores of 71, 66, and 72. His final score of seven under par solidified his position as the overall champion, demonstrating skill and determination against a competitive field.
In the Girls U21 category, Chiara-Maria Wippert from Wannsee G&LC emerged as the top female golfer, finishing with a total score of 217. Her rounds included scores of 74, 68, and 75, giving her a strong showing throughout the tournament.
The tournament featured a diverse field of young golfers, showcasing the rising talent in the sport. Other notable performances included Jakob Baha Nordström, who secured second place in the Boys U21 category with a total score of +2 (218), and Emma Alessia Delwes, who also finished second in the Girls U21 category with a score of +11 (227).
In the Boys U16 division, Tim Buchholz took first place with a score of +11 (227), followed closely by Carl John and Matej Dias, who both finished tied for second with total scores of +14 (230). In the Girls U16 category, Maximiliane Finger claimed victory with a total score of 236, and Antonia Burchert finished second with a total score of 250.
The Faldo Junior Tour continues to provide a platform for young golfers to showcase their skills and compete at a high level.
